• Support silicon evaluation requirements, to meet evaluation time scales as set by
product schedule.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Perform physical silicon device evaluation at chip and board level.
• Document errata to support necessary device modifications. silicon device evaluation at chip and board level.
• Develop work–around solutions where necessary to overcome device errata.
• Support the development of the documentation, hardware and software collateral
required to enable a comprehensive silicon device evaluation.
• Support the development of software for automated measurements.
• Support the development of improvements to the evaluation flow Via the TPL, Apps Lead or Project Manager, assist customers with product related
issues during their design-in and ramp phases.
• Interface to Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Product Engineering and
Quality Engineering as needed to support product issues.
Key Performance Measures:
• Delivery of silicon evaluation results in the agreed time scales as determined by the
product schedule.
• Development of evaluation collateral (hardware and software).
• Provision of support to internal and external customers within timeframes agreed.
• Delivery of documentation relating to silicon evaluation, evaluation collateral and
customer issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• System or mixed-signal device evaluation / validation skills.
• Applications knowledge and characterization experience in one of the following
areas: consumer handheld, power management.
• Digital or analog PCB design skills.
• Software skills sufficient to enable measurement automation script development
(Java / Python / C++).
• Results-oriented and able to deliver on-time under tight schedule pressure.
• Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
• Flexible to undertake occasional international travel at short notice.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
Qualifications:
• University degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar.
Key Relationships:
• Internal interaction with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Product Engineering
and Quality Engineering.
